A Kind Letter of Gratitude from The Deepest Core of my Heart - Oishi Sinha Chowdhury (XC) Student published on 22-Apr-2020

Respected ma'am,

I would like to share some of my feelings with you through this medium during such a time of distress where the world is trying its level best to fight against this unwanted and uninvited guest---COVID-19.

So here's to all the teachers out there who are putting in their utmost and relentless efforts in adapting themselves to the new modes of teaching via internet.

This is not to thank you for being emotionally distant from us, but for trying your level best to fill in that void between the teachers and the students. Be it the telecasted classes on Google Classroom or the live classes on Zoom, our teachers are trying all they can do to be with us. This is where, I feel that the nobility of this profession lies.

We know and we understand, how difficult it is to balance our normal lives now, but here are these superwomen/supermen, who are not letting anything come in between the student-teacher bond which has been created over all these times.

Since my mother is a teacher herself, I have been in various interactions with her, and I am awestruck to discover their (teachers') desire to learn new things, either from their children or from the students. The belief which they carry within themselves, that is, there indeed isn't particular age to learn and an individual can learn at all times, immensely increases my love and respect for all my teachers.

Also, to the teachers, we know that you can make it, and no unbreakable barrier can come in your way. We will never let anything interfere in the beautiful atmosphere that we create everyday. Again, I would like to thank respected Principal Ma'am, Vice-principal Ma’am, all coordinators and the entire MBWA family for making this happen so that we don't feel left out and depressed in such a world-damaging situation. Last but not the least, I would like to quote a few lines from one of my favourite binge-watch movies, Chalk N Duster.

~Kathinaiyon mein bhi

Honge pure yaad humaare,

Sabke liye ho jo

Jo sukh jo khushi,

Hum bulaayenge hum bulaayenge jag mein,

Hum deep shiksha ke hain,

Jagmagaayenge jagmagaayenge jag mein,

Jitne andhere bhi hain, hum mitaayenge

Hum mitaayenge jag mein.....//

Since I could not find a better way of reaching out to the teachers regarding this, I thought of forwarding this to you ma'am. It is my kind request to you, please share this with all the esteemed members of the MBWA family who have made it possible for us to cope up with our academics, and have also given us the enthusiastic escapade through the VPA classes.

Yours sincerely,

Oishi Sinha Chowdhury (XC)
